5 Day Immersion in Decorative Finishes | Connie Harris Art Workshop

This 5-day immersion workshop is the only one of its kind! Connie Harris will give pupils a true hands-on educational workshop in decorative finishes. With 30 years of experience in the field, Connie is an endless fountain of knowledge and has a large portfolio of executed projects. As a sought-after artist for this type of work, it is a true passion of hers to share her knowledge and skills with a new generation of artists.

This workshop is a full-on immersion experience like no other. Participants will be surrounded by everything that is Louisiana Art, History, and Culture. Connie's beautiful and historical 105-year home, Chatsworth Plantation, in St. Gabriel, sits at the edge of the Mississippi River. St. Gabriel is filled with history, and beautiful landscapes near the Mississippi, and is an extremely peaceful city located right outside of Baton Rouge and is only an hour away from New Orleans. Next to Chatsworth Plantation is the Marguerite Bed and Breakfast. First constructed in the early 1770s, the five-bedroom home is rich in history and provides accommodation options for workshop attendees. Only a short drive down historic River Road is Downtown Baton Rouge. You'll have access to visit many other historical, and art museums, enjoy authentic Cajun and Creole cuisines, and so much more. On Friday, Connie will be your guide on a complimentary excursion to the French Quarter in New Orleans.

• Classes will begin at 9:00 am and end at 3:00 pm. Breakfast items and coffee will be offered each day along with lunch options as well. A complimentary dinner will be given Wednesday night. 
• Class manuals will be given for each class
• All products to be used with the class are included in the registration
• Students will leave with professional-grade sample panels of their work
• Students will leave with 2 pieces of art from the resin/epoxy pour lesson on Wednesday
• Students will take home 4 panels of chinoserie colorways. There will be an in-depth demonstration and discussion of muraling and graffiti art.
